Technology and quality

The technological cycle of rolls production begins with the entrance control of the materials arriving at the plant for compliance with State Standards and Standards of the Factory.

Melt for casting rolls is prepared in induction furnaces IFM (ИЧТ-30, ИЧТ -20, ИЧТ -12, ИЧТ -8/1, ИЧТ -8/2) produced by ABB (Germany).

 

Express - analysis of the chemical composition is performed by the spectral method on the automatic analyzer «OBLF» by the sample.

 

When the melt parameters match the necessary requirements, the metal is released from induction furnaces.

The rolls are poured with crane weights at the melt temperature, corrected by the results of thermographic analysis.  

 

Temperature control of painting, assembling and disassembling of the rolls is carried out using a portable infrared pyrometer.

Heat treatment of the rolls is carried out in the furnaces "BOSIO" (Slovenia) to obtain the necessary structure, remove the foundry stresses and obtain the hardness in accordance with the requirements of the customer. The machining modes are calculated depending on the design and dimensions of the rolls.

Rolls that have undergone thermal treatment undergo ultrasonic testing in the absence of a defect, a template is cut out, the study of which allows to:    

<>···determine the size of graphite at different depths of the working layer of the roll.

 

After this, the machine is allowed to process the roll.

 

Mechanical treatment of rolling rolls is performed in the roll machine shop, where 80 mechanical machine units are placed.

Turning machines:

·         The maximum diameter of processing - 1700mm.

·         The maximum length of the roll - up to 8500mm. .

·         The maximum weight of the part - 63 tons.

Grinding machines:

·         The maximum diameter of  processing - up to 1500 mm

·         The maximum length of the roll - up to 9000 mm

·         The maximum weight of the part - 50 tons.

 

Milling machines:

·         The maximum diameter of processing - 1700mm.

·         The maximum length of the roll - up to 9000mm. .

·         The maximum weight of the part - 50 tons.

Boring machines:

·         The maximum internal diameter of  processing - up to 1300 mm

·         The maximum weight of the part is 50 tons.

 

During processing, the rolls are being controlled by the following measuring means:

·         if necessary, the hardness on the surface of the roll and the depth of the working layer by a portable electronic hardness tester "EquoTip-2" manufactured in Switzerland.

·         Geometry control by certified measuring instruments: 1. Micrometers (including equipped with electronic micrometric heads "MICROMASTER"by  "TESA", Switzerland) 2. hour-type indicators; 3. calipers; 4. depth gauges 5. limit calibers;

·         Surface roughness control with an electronic portable device «MarSurf PSI», Germany.
